Uber to develop Russian network in 2016 mostly in big cities
WASHINGTON, Feb 5 (PRIME) -- Online taxi-hailing service Uber will expand its network in Russia in 2016 mainly in big cities, a company spokesperson said late Thursday.
“Any city with a population of 500,000 people is interesting from the point of view of business development…The priority in Russia is currently on cities with millions of citizens,” the spokesperson said.
Uber works in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk and Sochi. According to earlier reports, it will cover 10 more cities.
